Energizing or sleepy?

Energizing, by most accounts. Leafly places Purple Haze on the energizing side of its calming-to-energizing scale, High Times describes an onset that is “quick, cerebral, and bright”, and Weedmaps describes an energetic, euphoric start that settles into a lighter, relaxed finish.1,2,3 The exception is White Label’s seed line, whose listing includes relaxing among its effects.8

Why two batches can feel different

Potency alone varies widely: one in ten lab-tested batches came in under 13.63% THC and one in ten above 26.79%, and Michigan’s median (13.43%) sits well below Nevada’s (23.72%).9 The name also covers different plants: SeedFinder lists 11 breeders’ versions, from Purple Thai × Haze lines to G13 Labs’ Afghani × Haze and ACE Seeds’ pure sativa (see genetics).10,11,12 In our 81 terpene panels, 35 lead with terpinolene and 28 with limonene.9
